Fuelled - YA Getaway 2011

The YA Getaway this year saw God at work in every aspect. From publicity to recruitment and camp proper, He was always present to dispel the surreal roadblocks. A miraculous save at an accident on the eve where the committee who was involved was not hurt at all and the other car survived a write-off crash. My first-aid kid items which was added last minute were all required at camp. An emergency ride to the nearest hospital saved a committee's life with the presence of a certified doctor at camp and quick respondents. It never rained till camp was over as everyone had to walk in the open from the hall to their rooms during this rainy season. A delay in the itinerary avoided another accident for a camper on the way back.

Though quite a few were down with viral fever for a week after camp, many lives were fuelled and changed at camp. I saw people who became more patient while others turned more friendly, helpful without an intention and many clicked though they were strangers at first sight.

God was indeed present. He provided the safety nets and the medical aid required. He saw ahead of us and truly this camp has blessed me lots.
