Hon Yuen & Amanda - 21 Mac 2009

Hon Yuen married his love and friend of 10 years, Amanda Ong, today. Amanda is the sweetest girl I've gotten the opportunity to work with in my company and am so glad I was there to capture this happy moment for her and him.

The day started with a ROM at the KL & Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall and ended in a beautiful garden dinner in Mines Palace & Beach Spa. It was indeed a pleasure to shoot as they and their family members were always smiling and were genuinely happy for her and Hon Yuen. Congratulations once again, Amanda & Hon Yuen.

Check out this first ever 360 view of the wedding dinner by my partner, Sam of DigitalShoeBox.

Charge Up Conference 2009 @ Penang Christian Centre

This year's Charge Up in PCC (26 Feb 09 - 1 Mac 09) was rewarding as I attended as a helper to the mentor in the Photography stream. It was a great time getting to know new friends like Adrian Pui, Karen Wai, Alex Wong, John Wong, Rachel Kedung, Marie Peh, Evelyn Lim, Eleni Krishnan, Mei Yen, Siew Ching and many others. I have friends in so many churches now. Yippee!

The Power Up sessions with Ps Victor Wong was a blessing as his sermons are indeed funny and real. Fellowship with people I've met before was refreshing as well and Jonathan Kwok was a real huge encourager to my group and me. Grace Tan was a wonderful teacher to the group and during her special sessions on Exposure and Post-Processing. It was also an honour to meet a truly humble yet popular Penang photographer from WhizArts, Ke Wynn. I feel touched by his humility when he helped take out garbage though he was our guest trainer. Joseph Siew was the gadget guy as he did upside down shoots with his camera and talked about accessories. :) Mark Leo & Ian Salang were cool peeps to be around with. Though the hours were long and there was much to do, kudos to Choon Ean, the chairperson for successfully organizing this event though she had a cast around her sprained right leg all the time.

I haven't found the time to download the pix I took of the people I met and the behind-the-scenes pix but stay tune and it'll be up soon.

These are some of the random ones I took during the 4-day sessions.

Cactus pix to show depth-of-field.

Low angle to capture the flare. That's Lilian in the pix.

Beautiful tree just outside the PCC.

Pix of things in the beautiful antique Peranakan Mansion along Church Street:

The pretty broken brick pathway at the Protestant Cementery where we went to do our group project shoot.
